The Concept

Our goal in developing the Herring Cove 32 was to produce a boat that would have classic good looks, while at the same time take advantage of the latest design and construction techniques. Good looks, clever design and solid construction, all add up to a boat that will be a pleasure to own and will hold its value in the years to come. 

The Design

"The HCM 32 incorporates the excellent performance characteristics of E.Y.E.'s planning hull form, with a traditional New England Lobster Yacht profile and deck plan. The planning hull, with a modest V-bottom and downward-sloped spray rails, affords good comfort in a seaway and is easily driven to 25 knots with reasonable power. This hull design has been used successfully with in-line and V-drive propeller configurations as well as jet drive and inboard/outboard power units".

The Layouts

Express
The Classic styling and simple layout make for a great dayboat for picnics, fishing or just touring. There are comfortable accommodations for two, including a practical galley with sink and icebox and a fully enclosed head.

A canvas top is available, as is a mast or radar arch.

Hardtop
Basically the same layout as the Express, but with a stylish hard top replacing the canvas top.

Pilot

This model features a fully enclosed wheelhouse for maximum protection from the elements. We think the boat looks a lot like the rugged Halifax Pilot boats that pass by Herring Cove each day, regardless of the weather.

Coastal Cruiser

With a large wheelhouse, this model is at home exploring the coast in comfort. There is a full galley and dinette, as well as a comfortable double berth. On top of the wheelhouse there is plenty of room for a dinghy or even a couple of kayaks, so you can really get the most out of your gunkholing.

Fisher

Here's a rugged boat that can take you where the fish are and get you home again. With a heavy duty rubstrake and low maintenance exterior, the Fisher can get the job done.
